Features of the course

This Course is designed for Candidates who have already completed their Fire Fighting Course and want to renew their certificates.
Only Practical sessions are conducted in this course. The learning objectives of this course have been designed to provide the students with sound Knowledge of fighting and extinguishing fires by
1. using various types of portable fire extinguishers
2. extinguishing smaller fires, e.g., electrical fires, oil fires, propane fires
3. extinguishing extensive fires with water, using jet and spray nozzles
4. extinguishing fires with foam, powder or any other suitable chemical agent
5. entering and passing through, with a lifeline but without breathing apparatus, a compartment into which high-expansion foam has been injected
6. fighting fire in smoke-filled enclosed spaces wearing self-contained breathing apparatus
7. extinguishing fire with water or any other suitable fire-fighting agent in an accommodation room or simulated engine-room with fire and heavy smoke
8. extinguishing oil fire with a fog applicator and spray nozzles, dry chemical powder or foam applicators
9. effecting a rescue in a smoke-filled space wearing a breathing apparatus
